The purpose is: 1) To enable single mothers in the Greater Moncton area to record, reflect and act on their community concerns and strengths that influence health and well being, 2) To promote critical dialogue and knowledge about important community issues, and 3) To reach policy makers and others who might be sensitized and mobilized for change around the areas of concern. Currently, the photovoice exhibition is traveling to several locations to promote public awareness of its findings. The team meets on a regular basis to develop strategies to enlighten the community about its identified concerns.
